  • The subsidy available for 2 wheel drive having 08-20 PTO HP for the amount Rs. 2.25 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 1.80 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for 4 wheel drive having 20-40 PTO HP for the amount Rs. 3.00 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 2.40 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for 2 wheel drive having 40-70 PTO HP for the amount Rs. 4.25 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 3.40 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.

  • The subsidy available for power tiller below 8 HP for the amount Rs. 0.65 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for power tiller above 8 HP for the amount Rs. 0.85 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.70 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  1. Subsidy on Rice Transplanter of agriculture machinery
  • The subsidy available for Self-propelled rice transplanter with 4 rows, for which the amount Rs. 1. 50 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 1.20 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Self-propelled rice transplanterhaving above 4-8 rows, for which the amount Rs. 5.00 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 4.00 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.

  1. Subsidy on Self Propelled Machinery of agriculture
  • The subsidy available for Reaper cum Binder with 3 wheels, for which the amount Rs. 1.75 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 1.40 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Reaper cum Binder with 4 wheels, for which the amount Rs. 2.50 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 2.00 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Reaper, for which the amount Rs. 0.75 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.60 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for post hole digger or auger, for which the amount Rs. 0.75 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.60 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.

  1. Subsidy on Tractor/Power Tiller (below 20 BHP) driven equipments of of agriculture machinery
  • The subsidy available for MB Plow, disc plow, cultivator, harrow, leveler blade, cage wheel, furrow opener, ridger, weed slasher, for which the amount Rs. 0.20 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.16 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for furrow opener, Bund former, Crust breaker, Rotopuddler, Roto-cultivator, Power Harrow for which the amount Rs. 0.40 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.32 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Chisel Plough, for which the amount Rs. 0.10 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.08 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Harvesting & Threshing Equipments that are Operated by engine/electric motor above 5 hp and tractor of above 35 BHP tractor, for which the amount Rs. 0.10 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.08 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Sowing , Planting ,Reaping and Digging Equipments, for which the amount Rs. 0.40 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.30 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for Inter Cultivation Equipments, for which the amount Rs. 0.35 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary, is Rs. 0.30 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for equipments for residue management/hay and forage equipments, for which the amount Rs. 0.40 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.30 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  1. Subsidy on all manual/animal drawn equipment/implements/tools of of agriculture machinery
  • The subsidy available for harvesting and threshing equipments such asground nut pod stripper, thresher, winnowing fan, tree climber, horticulture, hand tools, maize sheller, feed block machine, spiral graderfor which the amount Rs. 0.40 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.30 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for harvesting and threshing equipments such as grass weed slasher, weeder, conoweeder, garden hand tools for which the amount Rs. 0.012 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.010 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for harvesting and threshing equipments such as grass weed slasher, weeder, conoweeder, garden hand tools for which the amount Rs. 0.012 lakhs is 50% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.010 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  1. Subsidy for establishment of PHT units

For the establishment of  PHT units and for transfer of primary processing technologies, value addition, low cost scientific storage of the agricultural products, packaging units  and technologies for by-product management especially in the production catchments. The subsidies available are –

  • The subsidy available for mini rice mill, for which the amount Rs. 2.40 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 2.00 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for mini dal mill, for which the amount Rs. 1.50 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 1.25 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for millet mill, for which the amount Rs. 5.40 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 4.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for millet mill, for which the amount Rs. 5.40 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 4.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available for oil mill with filter press for all types of Horticulture/Food grain/oilseed crop, for which the amount Rs. 3.00 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 2.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available Extractor for all types of Horticulture/Food grain/oilseed crops, for which the amount Rs. 1.80 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 1.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available all types of Solar Driers ( for all type of Horticulture / food grain/ oil seeds Crops) with floor area of about 400 to 1000 sq. feet, for which the amount Rs. 3.50 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 3.00 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  • The subsidy available all types of all types of Grinder/Pulveriser/Polisher (for all types of Horticulture /Food grain/oilseed crop), for which the amount Rs. 0.60 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 0.50 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.
  1. Subsidy on Plant Protection Equipment

The subsidy available manual sprayer, knapsack/foot operated sprayer, powered knapsack sprayer/power operated sprayer (capacity 8 – 12 lts), powered knapsack sprayer/power operated sprayer (capacity above 12-16 lts), powered knapsack sprayer/power operated sprayer (capacity above 16lts, tractor operated sprayer (air carrier/assisted), tractor operated sprayer (boom type), eco-friendly light trap, tractor operated electrostatic, sprayer, and bird scarer, for which the amount Rs. 2.50 lakhs is 60% and the maximum permissible subsidy per machine/equipment per beneficiary is Rs. 2.00 lakhs with a pattern of assistance of 40%.

9. Subsidy for Purchasing Combine Harvester of agriculture machinery

Under the Sub-Mission Scheme of Agricultural Mechanization being implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, subsidies at 40% of the project where the cost is limited toRs. 24 lakhs, whichever is less, that is extended to the rural entrepreneurs, progressive farmers and NGO’s and self-help groups for establishment of farm machinery and to get updated with the innovations in farming the banks are also providing and helping in purchasing various agricultural machinery and equipment including the combine harvester for farmers.

The below are the loans available for purchasing the farm management equipments. These include the following-

Farm Mechanization Loan
Government banks offer loans such as tractor loans, drip irrigation loan, combine harvester loans etc.The type of loan, key features, documents required, benefits, interest rate, repayment tenure, eligibility criteria, are described below for each of them-

Tractor Loan under Stree Shakti Mortgage free scheme

This loan is a mortgage free loan which has low interest rate and will be sanctioned within 3 days. These have monthly repayment options.

Interest rate

The interest rate is 11.20% per annum and the margin will be 25% based on the tractor’s original invoice and 50% accessories for tractors accessories.

Eligibility criteria

  • The borrowers andco-borrowers should be women.
  • There should be a minimum of 2 acres of agricultural land, to apply for this loan in the name of the applicant.
  • The annual income of the borrower should be minimum of Rs.1.5 lakh per annum.

Documents required

The documentsrequired for sanctioning this loan is –

Pre-sanction documents

  1. Duly filled application form of the particular type of loan.
  2. 3 passport sized photographs.
  3. Need to submit any of the ID proofs which includes PAN card, Voter ID card, or passport
  4. Should submit the address proof of the borrower such as Voter ID card, or passport or Aadhar card.
  5. Land proof in the documented form.
  6. Certificate of the income poof from revenue authority.
  7. Quotation of the tractor which you are willing to purchase that dealer issued to the customer based on the requirement.

Pre-disbursement documents

  1. Loan documentsof thebased on the type of loan which you applied for.
  2. 6-post-dated cheques need to be submitted to the bank.

Post-disbursement documents

  1. RC book of the tractor for which the loan has been sanctioned with hypothecation charges which has to be in favour of the State Bank of India.
  2. Original invoice of the tractor from the dealer.
  3. Comprehensive insurance policy for the vehicle which the customer purchased.

For other loans such as SSTL with liquid collateral the interest rate differs which is 10% and rest all will be the same will be the same. For New Tractor Loan Scheme the interest rate is 11.95% per annum and the eligibility criteria and all will be the same.

Getting a loan on Combine Harvester

This loan is applied for the purchase along with the combine harvester including its accessories. The loan should be repaid in 6 instalments in a year and the tenure would be 9 years. The key features of this loan includes the following-

  • Interest rate of 12% per annum
  • The margin rate would be 15 to 25% of the cost of combine harvester and its accessories.
  • Repayment tenure provided is 9 years including the grace period.
  • The mortgage of land has to be submitted as a collateral for availing this loan.

Eligibility criteria for getting loan on Combine Harvester

  • All the farmers who have the experience to operate the combine harvesters can apply for this loan.
  • For availing this loan at least 8 acres of land should be in the name of the applicant.

Getting Drip Irrigation loan

This loan can be availed by the farmers in order to purchase the drip irrigation system. This has importance and many key features. These includes the following-

  • The interest rate for drip irrigation loan is 12% per annum.
  • The margin rate to sanction the loan is 15 to 25% of the total cost of the project.
  • The repayment tenure ranges from 5 to 13 years.
  • The collateral documents needed to submit for a loan amount of Rs. 10,000 then there is no requirement for collateral, whereas for total cost of more than 10,000 then you need to submit a mortgage or charge on land.

Eligibility for applying the drip loan

All farmers or the people who are starting farming as a business can avail this loan who are having the own land and are mainly involved in agricultural activities.

  1. Duly filled application form of the particular type of loan.
